To Cry or not to Cry...

Not quite sure what is supposed to happen here. Found out something about someone I was close to trusting. I just don't know if this is the point when I break down and cry or is this the point when I rejoice that I found out sooner than later. I'm not the crying type but somehow a good cry would be cathartic right now. I'm not even asking the usual stupid girl questions, 'Did I cause this?' 'Could it have been something I did?' Nah I know it's not me or my fault, I mean a man is a man is a man, you can't blame them that is just how they are, so when they mess up you expect it. Actually you walk around waiting for them to mess up and when they do, you say 'See I told you he would' (like seeing those signs saying 'Caution road slippery when wet' so obvious) and you pat yourself on the back glad you saw it coming but just a little sad that this one did not break the usual 'man tradition'. Well this tiny rant was not so bad. I feel better. So I go back to waiting for the next big screw up I guess...

T&TEC can bite me!

So what if I need electricity to run everything in my house? So what if it has become a necessary utility. Who cares? What I want to know is when will the madness stop in this country. Everything going up except my salary! How efficient is T&TEC's service anyway? A step above TSTT? A level above FLOW? Does that justify an increase in rates? Well? Does it?

Cost of Living? or Is it the Slippery Slope to Dying?

So, between the scandalous rates of TSTT, BLINK Broadband, Digicel, FLOW, WASA and T&TEC 100% increase in rates, rising food prices, inflation (that seems to be getting lower only in theory and no salary increase of substance, I guess the real question is 'How we go live?'

$5.00 for doubles?

Long time now I've been wondering when exactly the cost of groceries would surpass the my salary and with one fell swoop I find myself unable to think of clothing myself, buying groceries and putting gas in the car in the same month. Now for any of you working people, you already know that the cost of food whether it be at restaurants or fast food outlets has been ridiculous for awhile now. Let's face it, KFC has been playing the fool for a long time, but the trinis keep lining up for more (not so for me, Thank God i don't eat meat), never mind the cost of bread! So you decide you not going to buy food outside you will cook. How are you supposed to do that with the rising cost of groceries? I have resigned myself with just eating to live and nothing more, I can't afford the excess.

Now I have heard it all $4.00 and $5.00 for a doubles??? This used to be the 'poor man' meal. So I suppose in the very near future, men will be taking women to dine at Ali's Doubles for their dates...Think about it

Okay, so I love dance (viewing it at least). I was caught spellbound with millons of others the past few weeks watching 'Americas Best Dance Crew'. I held my breath as my 'boys' made to the end and won. For some silly reason I felt like a mother or sister or someone who was invested in their work. Still I loved looking at the show. JabbaWockeeZ !!!!!

Does it really FLOW?

My gosh! After the ridiculous hike in prices the service from FLOW continues to be right on par with previous efforts. Tell me, why is it when rain falls I can't look at the cable I'm paying for? Probably satellite problems you say? Then why did they increase prices 'To serve you better'. When does serving me better come into play? On which planet do you take away four channels and increase the cost of service in one fell swoop? Only in sweet Trinidad. So now I have to pay for my movie channels, cool this almost sounds reasonable. But wait...so what you're saying is that even though I'm paying, I can't get the movie channels I previously had? No Starz? Well Heck!! Sure I'll give you all my hard earned money and not enjoy my movie experience...But really, how much does FLOW really flow.? Interruptions, blackouts, waves on the screen...when will all this great service stop?
